The Brief
Branding
From this brief, I was given a subject and an audience. The subject is the Welsh word "hiraeth," which is an untranslatable term connected to the feeling of homesickness. The audience consists of people in education, specifically university students, and the goal is to use this concept to create a brand.


The Solution
I plan to create a brand targeted toward students struggling with homesickness. This will be accomplished through an app that connects friends, even when apart, by offering daily challenges that keep students engaged and connected. My main advertising strategy will involve setting up stalls at freshers' fairs and forming partnerships with student unions to reach new students who may be feeling the effects of distance from home.
